Resumption of London Flights
We are pleased to inform you that RwandaAir will be resuming its flights to London starting 10July 2021 operating once a week (Saturday).

Below are the requirements and all necessary information

A PCR covid-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to departure time is required for all international arrivals, including UK nationals. Passengers, who fail to comply with this, will be subject to an immediate fine of £500.

All arriving passengers will self-isolate for the first 10 days they are in the UK regardless of the test results, unless they are arriving from an exempt country. Here is a list of exempt countries:

Passengers who have travelled from or through any southern African country in last 10 days, including Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Eswatini, Zambia, Malawi, Lesotho, Mozambique and Angola – as well as Seychelles, Mauritius, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of the Congo, UAE, Burundi & Rwanda will be banned from entering into England. This does not include British and Irish Nationals, long-term visa holders and permanent residents, who will be able to enter but are required to self-isolate for 10 days on arrival long with their household.
Further to above, communication kindly be informed that Quarantine is mandatory for travellers, excluding those arriving from “green list” countries. Travellers from “amber list” countries must quarantine for 10 days at home. Travellers from “red list” countries must undergo hotel quarantine at a designated facility for 10days. The quarantine requirement also applies to travellers who transited through an “amber list” or a “red list” country. Travellers arriving from “red list” countries must book a hotel and testing package at their own expense ( The quarantine will cost GBP1, 750 for the first traveller staying in a room. Facilities will be designated at Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen airports.
Workers in healthcare and other select sectors are exempt from quarantine. Consult the government website ( for a full list of sectors by quarantine measure.
