Update on Malawi and Tanzania

India, Pakistani, Bangladesh, Nepal and Brazil are no longer categorized as high risk countries.

Travellers coming to Malawi are no longer required to obtain a waiver from the Ministry of Health.

Land Borders have re-opened but visas are not available on arrival.

Visas can still be obtained on arrival at Lilongwe and Blantyre International Airports.

27th August Official Release

Update on Tanzania *Corrections* from Friday 27th August:

All those arriving into Tanzania through a Land Border must pay the USD 10pp charge for a Rapid Antigen test. Only logistics drivers are exempt. Cost of Covid-19 PCR tests have reduced to USD 50, not USD 100 per person, when required.
